I got this song in my head as I try to write my third, so far un-named novel. No, it's not Tempus related. I know what you're thinking... FINALLY!
In the meantime, I'm taking this time of non-Tempusness to write another novel that's been brewing deep in the inner workings of my head. Scary thought, I know, but really we all knew this would happen. In the meantime, this untitled novel has an unofficial theme song (you sensing a pattern here too?) which I will not say if I like or not.
Brady, I know you'll like this one.
I'll try to update more frequently, but I can't guarantee my brain will want to form complete sentences anytime soon.
Hey, I just thought I'd post links to the first two episodes of my book Convergence, for those who don't visit my creative writing blog.
Get them while they're fresh.
It just occurred to me that anyone who reads this blog might not know what I mean by "soon-to-be author" in my profile.
What I mean is that I've actually written a complete novel, and that I'm also editing it to tighten the plot and make sure the characters stay true to themselves. And, that I won't consider myself to be an "author" until I can actually buy one of my books from somewhere.
Thanks to TWiT 18 from way back (which also happens to be the episode that the phrase "I get NO spam" became famous), I've already decided to try Lulu.com to publish my novel. I've also considered making it a podcast novel as well and submitting it to Podiobooks.com to increase the reader count.
Anyways, I consider myself to be far from the "author" stage. I guess I just call myself a writer, but the word author has certain connotations for me.
And... editing's such a pain in the rear...
So it's been, what, a week and I STILL haven't written anything creatively since I house sitted for some friends of ours. My novel and short story sit in my computer, unaltered. What's the deal here?
Well, I have a theory, and quite honestly it's the only logical thing I can explain all of this. Namely, when I was house sitting, I had plenty of Vault. And I drank it plentifully. Also, I was able to fully control the temperature of the house I was staying at.
Back here at home, I have neither. It gets hot in my room and all I've got to fuel my mind is what my mom likes, Pepsi One.
I might invest in some Vault tonight to test this theory.
Sometimes I feel that if I write a kick@$$ story, it'll impress some girls. Unfortunately, it seems to draw them away, since they think I'm a slight nerd
Oh well, I'm screwed. :D
For those that haven't been lead here from another blog I participate in, I also help run SoundsInteresting.net. That site is mainly for creative content, and not all of it is mine, of course. My first book, called Tempus: Book 1, is featured there. Currently it's undergoing final edit (which I'm doing now) and it will be available for download and purchase at Lulu.com soon, hopefully.
Whilst I work creatively, I listen to Imogen Heap. So sue me, I like that kind of music. Sheesh.
