Yeah, I'm going to be kinda busy now with stuff, so I decided to share the entire book of Tempus 2 with you all instead of posting it chapter by chapter. It was a hard and difficult decision that took me about 2 minutes to make. Yeah, it turns out having a girlfriend gets you kinda busy... not busy in the bad way, though, but I'm going to have a real hard time posting chapters every week.
The printed version of Shadows on the Horizon will be out soon pending yet another edit (can't seem to get rid of all the mistakes.) In the meantime, here's "Version 4" of Shadows on the Horizon.

I've reached page 107 of 369 in editing Tempus Book 2. Surprisingly, a lot of things I wrote initially that I felt was too much or wasn't done right are passing with flying colors as I read the whole thing over again.
Tempus 2, will be another mystery, mixed in with some sci-fi and thriller elements. It will NOT be like Book 1, though. The universe of Tempus expands dramatically in book 2 and you're introduced to many new characters. And the overall plot thickens very nicely, in my opinion. Book 1 centralized on one mystery (the tempus murderer) and had a sub-mystery to compliment it (Jack Rooster). These were resolved by the end of the book. The book's world consisted mainly of Uncle Jim's house.
Book 2 is similar yet different. It has a central mystery, but the beauty of it is that the central mystery is made up for sub-mysteries. Each time a sub-mystery is solved, it sheds light on the overall story. At the moment I can think of 7 sub-mysteries in the book, each discovered and solved at different times. At first this seemed like a lot, but it's really flowing off the pages when I read it. I have a good feeling about it.
Book 2 also begins to shed some light on the Tempus timeline, which I will be making public very soon.
I've been able to get a lot done this past week because I'm on vacation and don't have to think of work or anything else. I can sit on the back patio and get inspired by views like this:
Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to make my private deadline of June. I'm going to try my hardest, though.
This morning at approximately 7:53 AM CST, I wrote the final sentence in the first draft of Tempus Book 2, which (for those who don’t read the very END of my 1st book) is titled Tempus: A Shadow on the Horizon.
Now comes the fun editing part, which a friend of mine terms, “Adding the details and the goodies.”
Don’t quote me on this, but I’m hoping to start posting chapters by June. That’s a bit ambitious (3 months from now), but we’ll see…
Sorry for the delay in posting, I just realized I posted about this everywhere except here. Yes, I wrote a book and decided to self-publish it on Lulu.com. I hope to do a free podcast audio version of it in the near future as well as a paperback edition.
In the meantime, the hardcover edition is up on Lulu.com. Click here to check it out.
I'm happy to announce I'm officially not scrapping everything. I believe, for now anyways, I'm back on form and the ideas and writings are beginning to flow like normal. :D
Oh, and just to say... the first word of Book 2 is "pain".
I may post the first few paragraphs for Rachel in the near future.
Sometimes I feel that if I write a kick@$$ story, it'll impress some girls. Unfortunately, it seems to draw them away, since they think I'm a slight nerd
Oh well, I'm screwed. :D
For those that haven't been lead here from another blog I participate in, I also help run SoundsInteresting.net. That site is mainly for creative content, and not all of it is mine, of course. My first book, called Tempus: Book 1, is featured there. Currently it's undergoing final edit (which I'm doing now) and it will be available for download and purchase at Lulu.com soon, hopefully.
Whilst I work creatively, I listen to Imogen Heap. So sue me, I like that kind of music. Sheesh.
